Pensione Accademia Villa Maravege - Venice

We had needed an ectra room for our children who planned to join us. The staff accomodated us well. We then needed an addtional night too. They had originally paced us in a back room (the one reserved for our children). After we told them that we had paid for a room with a canal view, they helped us move into that one- no problem. They were very helpful getting dinner reservations etc. Excellent location - lovely atrium sitting area in back. And close to the Grand Canal. Oh, an did I mention I sprained my ankle while in Venice? They were so helpful and brought me ice packs etc. Very nice experience. I am already referring friends there!

The night clerk was a real gentleman and very pleasant and helpful. We most appreciated him of all, although everyone was very nice and helpful.

The fact that we had to pay to use the internet. With the room charges we paid I expect that for free. Also, a call was made to Swiss Air in Swizterland by one of your staff to try and help us check in for our flight. We were not told we would have to pay for it. It wasn't a requirement that we call, but it was a very nice try to help us. The charge was only 4.05 Euros but the fact that we weren't told we would have to pay for it, again when we are paying so much for the room, was a bit cheap on your part we thought.

I liked best the location and the convenience of the nearby vaporetti.The staff was corteous though with no excess. Good value for money.

The staff were very polite and helpful...have wanted to stay there for several years as reccomended by several people and it was always booked up..the wait was worth it.

The rooms facing the front garden and canal are very noisy but I realised too late I should have closed my window and had air-con on

There was nothing that I did not like about this hotel. The staff are purely professional and also friendly at the same time. The rooms are classy and the spacious bathroom is excellent. The breakfast is also excellent serving warm eggs. I stayed at many hotels in Italy, but this is the only one that served scrambled eggs. It is a bit hard to find, but all the hotels in Venice are hard to find. I also arrived in the morning(10AM), but they still let me check-in. The flexibility and hospitality is exceptional.

I noticed some hair on my floor, but that was probably because they let me check in at 10AM in the morning and did not have enough time to throughly clean.

It was a fantastic hotel with comfortable rooms, wonderful garden and delicious breakfast. The hotel was in a great location by the canal. What I liked best about this hotel was the sound of birds flying around me to get some food from my breakfast. The staff was much better and more informative than the ones in other hotels. Thanks for everything...

Great location close to center, but still away from the busiest streets. An atmospheric place. We especially enjoyed breakfasts in the garden.

Internet access required the purchase of rather pricey pre-paid cards.

-this pensione is not only very nicely furnished and equipped but also perfectly located. The garden is lovely. The staff friendly and helpful.It was my third time in Venise and my first stay at this hotel I highly recommend

Easy to find - 20 minute walk from Piazzale Roma. Ideal location near to Accademia bridge - 15 minutes to St Mark's Square. Efficient & helpful staff - more like a home than a hotel with traditional Venetian style. Excellent breakfast.

Excellent location right next to Accademia Bridge - means you can walk to St Marc square, with Guggenheim museum just a few steps away. Central but quiet. Lovely gardens- pleasure to take breakfast in. Recommend afternoon tea (brought with small cakes) in the gardens. Would go there again on next visit to Venice.

It was a very peaceful and relaxing hotel to stay in. Location could not be better. Some lovely icons in the bar. A good faintly old fashioned atmosphere about the hotel. Excellent breakfast. Many pleasant small restaurants nearby.

We had a most enjoyable time.

I love the Pensione Accademia for all of the reasons listed above, however, the staff go out of their way to make you feel at home and to provide all the information to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. It is also fabulous to arrive from the airport with a watertaxi and step out in the garden of the Pensione. There are also fabulous restaurants only minutes away and lot of great shops too.
